As each baby shower guest arrives, they are given a large puzzle piece to place on a prominent wall. Guests slowly create a completed jigsaw puzzle which reveals a special message for the mom-to-be!

This baby shower idea takes a bit more prep than most, but we're sure this will worth your time. Create a series of 12" x 18" interlocking puzzle pieces. Create at least one piece for each guest. Make sure the pieces are different shapes so they can only be arranged in one single way. Once pieces are created, place them in order and write a large message for your honoree. Apply as much poster putty as needed so each piece sticks on the wall throughout your shower.

If the baby's name is being announced at the shower, have the baby's full name be your message!

A variation for baby shower themes.
If you've decided on having a baby shower theme, ditch the message and create the image of something central to your theme. Those having a airplane baby shower theme could reveal a picture of a biplane. A frog baby shower theme could reveal a frog resting on a lilly pad.
