Don't Say Baby

Only two words can describe attending a baby shower without using the word 'baby.' Guests will find this game to be difficult or impossible!

Will your guests possess the self-control needed to not say the word 'baby' when attending a baby shower? One slip of the tongue and a player is eliminated from this competition!

Playing the game
Once the last of your guests have arrived, the hostess hangs a board containing the names of all guests attending the shower. The hostess announces this game will be played throughout the shower. Anyone saying 'baby' will have their name crossed off the board. When only one guest's name remains on the board, you have a winner!

A fun variation
Make other words taboo at your shower. Make the mother's name, father's name or a word central to you baby shower theme the word to avoid!

A similar game
The clothespin shower game is similar, except guests gather clothespins from those using the word baby. Much emphasis is placed on catching others saying the word, rather than not saying 'baby' yourself.
