You'll soon discover if their is a Kelly Clarkson or David Cook in your guest list. Or maybe you'll discover the next Sanjaya when you stage a Baby Shower Idol competition!

Guests are solicited to stand in front of three judges and impress them with their vocal talent or otherwise. Whether your guests are 'pitchy' or fantastic, you're in store for some fantastic entertainment!

After your last guest has performed, all participants stand in front of the judges. Slips of paper containing each contestant's name are placed in a jar. One by one, guests are eliminated when the slip of paper containing their name is chosen. This ensure the winner is left to chance and there are no hard feelings in the this faux competition!

Before the shower, the hostess asks 2 guests to join your honoree to be a judge for 'Baby Shower Idol.' Your mom-to-be can sit in the middle and offer up 'Paula Abdul style compliments while the other two guests can mimic Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell. And for the uninitiated, Randy refers to most contestants as 'dawgs' and often criticizes songs for being 'pitchy'. Simon offers ample criticism, to say the least. Simon is VERY difficult to impress.

Disclaimer - Yes, we know Paula is no longer on the show. But she'll forever be ingrained as one of the all-time favorite judges.
